Gym order in Pokémon GS Vitro
There is no fixed gym order. Free Mode can start at any Johto location, and trainer levels scale to your party. Gym leaders also change teams depending on the order you meet them.
Why a numbered route misleads
The developer post says there is no roadblock, Free Mode can begin at any Johto point, and wild and trainer levels balance to your team. Leaders have more than one team, shifting with the order you reach them. Minor trainers are partly random. A single “best order” would erase that.
GameRant wrote that the game starts in Ecruteak. That conflicts with the developer’s Free Mode line. I follow the developer and do not print a mandatory start city.

The eight badges below are the Crystal roster from Serebii: city, leader, type, badge. They are the baseline Johto map. They are not a claim that GS Vitro uses the same parties or the same levels.

How I would choose a direction
If you want the story beats Crystal players remember, walk the cities in the table’s order and let scaling do the work. If you want a shorter loop, pick the gyms closest to your Free Mode start and accept that the leader’s team may differ. If you want a harder fight, the developer says order changes the team; the actual sets are not listed, so I will not assign a difficulty rank.

Questions
Should I still fight Falkner first?
You can. Nothing in the developer post makes Violet City mandatory. Scaling is the reason a “best order” chart would be fake precision.
Who is Líder Anton?
The release trailer shows a battle caption “Líder Anton te desafía.” I am not folding that caption into the Crystal gym table. One video frame is not a roster.
Is Karen in the game?
The trailer shows “Alto Mando Karen,” and the developer posted Karen as the last Elite Four member before Lance. Full Elite Four levels are not published.
